Ryan Danehy is in his sixth year as an assistant coach with the Big Green, working primarily with the goalkeepers. Under Danehy, goaltender Fergus Campbell was named second team All-Ivy in 2010 and 2011, honorable mention in 2011 and was selected to the NEILA All-New England Second team in 2010.

Danehy, a four-year lacrosse letterwinner at Dartmouth as an attackman from 2003-2006, joined the Big Green men's lacrosse staff as an assistant coach prior to the 2008 season.

As well as being a standout lacrosse player for the Big Green, Danehy lettered three times as a member of the football team. In 2006 he was taken in the fifth round of the MLL Collegiate Draft by the Boston Cannons. He played professionally with the Chicago Machine and the Boston Cannons.

In four years with Dartmouth he started in 39 games, compiling 73 goals and 11 assists. As a freshman he earned Ivy Rookie of the Week honors as the Big Green upset, then No. 2, Princeton, 13-6. Danehy scored two fourth-quarter goals and added an assist on the last goal of the game. Danehy also tallied
3 goals and 1 assist in Dartmouth's first ever tournament appearance against Syracuse in 2003.

Prior to Dartmouth Danehy was an All-America lacrosse performer at Billerica High School. He was a four-year starter on attack and a member of the 2001 Massachusetts lacrosse state championship squad. Danehy was also a four-year starter on the football team and a member of the 1999 Massachusetts
Division I State Championship team.
