2013 NCAA Swimming Championships SCHEDULE

Division I Men's Swimming Official Psych Sheet

IDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The NCAA announced the 235 swimmers, which will be participating in the 2013 NCAA Division I Swimming Championships. Old Dominion’s very own Sidni Hoxha will be one of the 29 male student-athletes competing for the 50 freestyle title. Hoxha will also swim the 100 and 200 free, as he posted optional entry times in both, respectively.

The Championships will be held March 28-30 at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Ind. The Indiana Sports Corporation and IUPUI will serve as the co-hosts.

A total of 270 participants (235 swimmers and 35 divers) will compete in the championships. Student-athletes qualified for the swimming portion of the championships by meeting the established minimum time for the events in which they entered. The complete list of all swimmers competing in the championships is available at www.usaswimming.org/ncaa.

Hoxha, the 2013 Most Outstanding Swimmer of the 2013 CAA Championships, recently set a new school record and was a mere .01 of a second away from setting the all-time conference record, when he posted a 19.60 in the 50 free at the preliminaries of the CAA Championships two weeks ago. Hoxha’s time in the 50 free ranks 20th in the country this season. Auburn’s Marcelo Chierighini posted the fastest time (18.85) in the country this season.

On Nov. 19, 2012, Hoxha broke the CAA record in the 100 free by posting a time of 43.43. Hoxha’s time in the 100 free ended up being the 42nd fastest time in the country this season.

Hoxha posted a time of 1:37.17 in the 200 free finals at the 2013 CAA Championships. That time allowed Hoxha to break his own school record and was the 50th fastest time posted in the country this season.

ESPN3.com will stream finals sessions Friday and Saturday live. Additionally, ESPNU will air a 90-minute show at 7 p.m. ET on Wednesday, April 10.
