Lussi Scores in U.S. U-23 Win Over Norway
Tyler Lussi scored in the 42nd minute to give the U.S. U-23 Women's National Team its first goal in an eventual 2-1 win Saturday over Norway in the second game of three at the Women's Nordic Tournament in England.
Lussi played the full match on the way to the U.S.'s second win in as many games in the event, coupling that victory with a 3-1 win over Sweden last Thursday. The Americans finished out the four-team event with a 1-1 tie against host England Wednesday, with Lussi again playing start to finish.
The match report from Saturday's contest can be found here.
Lussi participated in her first training camp with the U.S. U-23s in January in California before playing in the Istria Cup in Croatia in March and training again with the team in Virginia in April.
The two-time Ivy League Offensive Player of the Year is set for her senior season at Princeton in the fall. The program released the 2016 schedule, which can be found here, earlier this month.
