CARY, N.C. – UNC Greensboro cross country on Friday night participated in the 2019 Adidas XC Challenge, as the Spartan women finished in third place while the men capped off the event in fourth place. 

On the men’s side, UNCG was paced by junior Alex Roy as he finished the Men 6k White (Division I) in 21stplace. His 18:48.3 finish is a new personal best. 

Just behind him in 22ndand 23rdplace respectively were sophomores Dalton Miles and Dylan Christopher. Sophomore Thomas Knepshield (32nd), junior Ewan Hynes (35th) and sophomores Nicholas Thoma (37th) and Joe Thoma (38th) also finished in the top 40. 

Senior Taylor Delaney, meanwhile, led UNCG’s women’s runners as she finished in 17thplace in the Women’s 5k White (Division I).

Fellow senior Kaitlyn Stone (22nd), junior Kassidy Dill (29th), sophomore Josie McGee (31st) and junior Ariana Garcia (39th) also finished in the top 40. 

UNCG’s next meet will take place on Saturday, Oct. 5, as the Spartans will compete in the Louisville Classic.
