Colorado Sports Medicine Staff

The Sports Medicine Department at the University of Colorado is lead by Miguel Rueda, Head Athletic Trainer. Along with Mr. Rueda the Sports Medicine staff consists of an Associate Athletic Trainer, five Assistant Athletic Trainers, two Professional Interns and 25 Student Interns.

In conjunction with the Athletic Training staff there are two General Practitioners, three Orthopedic Surgeons, and a wide array of Allied Health Care Professionals used for evaluation, consultation and treatment of athletic injuries that complete the Sports Medicine Team.

The Sports Medicine Department at the University of Colorado is committed to enhancing and providing quality health care for all varsity student-athletes. We are committed to preventing injury as well as providing a welcoming atmosphere for the evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries that do occur.

The Certified Athletic Trainers of the University of Colorado are highly educated and skilled professionals who specialize in the health care of student-athletes. The University of Colorado has worked hard to appoint highly qualified, ethical, and energetic personnel to these positions.
