NEW YORK — Game times for the 2017-18 Columbia women’s basketball season were unveiled on Thursday. Columbia’s home opener is Sunday, November 12, against Richmond at 2 p.m.

Additionally, the Lions announced a schedule change. Due to a scheduling conflict, Columbia will no longer host Quinnipiac, originally slated for Friday, November 17, and will instead host Saint Francis (PA) on Wednesday, December 6, at 7 p.m.

The 10th annual Education Day game will take place Wednesday, November 29, against Boston College. Elementary school students representing several New York City institutions will be treated to an 11 a.m. tipoff at Levien Gymnasium. It will mark the first time Columbia has hosted a team from the Atlantic Coast Conference since 2008.

Columbia will play three straight non-conference games at home from December 6-11. The homestand begins with Saint Francis on the sixth, followed by a 2 p.m. tip against Buffalo on Saturday, Dec. 9, and a 7 p.m. tip against Hofstra on Monday, Dec. 11.

The 2018 Ivy League home opener is scheduled for Saturday, January 20, against Cornell. The Lions will tip at 4 p.m., with the men’s basketball game against the Big Red to follow that evening.

The rest of the Ivy League season has the Lions tipping at 7 p.m. in home games against Yale (Feb. 9), Dartmouth (Mar. 2) and Harvard (Mar. 3). Senior Night will be March 3 against the Crimson. Home games against Penn (Feb. 16) and Princeton (Feb. 17) will tip at 4 p.m. as part of doubleheaders with the men’s program. The Brown game (Feb. 10) tips at 5 p.m.
