EUGENE - University of South Florida senior David Aristil continued his stellar career Thursday night as he advanced to the 400m hurdles semifinals at the U.S. Outdoor Track and Field Olympic Trials in Eugene, Ore.
The three-time NCAA Outdoor All-American clocked a 50.53 to finish third in his heat to automatically earn a spot in the semis. His time ranked 10th overall and was his fourth-best of the season. The 400m hurdles semifinals will take place on Friday, June 29 at 6:35 EST.
Also competing in Eugene, was former USF standout Chandra Brewer in the women's shot put. Brewer, the school record holder and All-American in the event, finished 14th in the prelims with a throw of 53-10.25 (16.41m), and just missed advancing to the finals by six-and-a-half inches.
