WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - The University of Oregon women's tennis team placed five Ducks on the Pac-12 All-Academic conference teams and the men's tennis program placed three on the team as announced by Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott on Thursday (June 7).

Sophomore Rabea Stueckemann headlined the list for the Ducks making the All-Academic First Team with a 4.13 GPA in Journalism.  Stueckemann's excellence off the court was supported by her combined 17 wins in both singles and doubles play.  The Hamm, Germany-native set a new career high for doubles wins in a season with nine.

Elsewhere, the Ducks placed four different women on the Honorable Mention list including junior Julia Metzger, sophomore Pascale Neubert, junior Patricia Skowronski and senior Trudie du Toit.

Leading the way for the Oregon men was junior Aaron Clissold whose 3.31 GPA in General Social Science landed him on the All-Academic Second Team.  The New South Wales, Australia-native supplemented his off-court academic success with a 15-10 singles record during the 2011-12 season.  Clissold also claimed a career high in doubles wins in a season with 20. Jose Izquierdo also joined Clissold on the second team. Izquierdo recorded a 3.21 in Architecture.

Also named to academic All-Conference honors was sophomore Robin Cambier whose in-classroom work merited a Honorable Mention selection.

For a student athlete to be eligible for selection they must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade point average and be a significant contributor.
