DURHAM, N.C. – Duke redshirt junior middle blocker Leah Meyer and graduate student setter/hitter Andie Shelton garnered first team All-ACC honors while outside hitter Ade Owokoniran earned a nod to the ACC All-Freshman Team as announced by the league Monday.

A preseason all-league pick, Meyer makes her second career first team All-ACC appearance. Through 27 regular season games, Meyer ranks third in the ACC and 15th nationally in blocks per set (1.47), the third-highest single-season average in program history. Offensively, Meyer owns a career-best .373 hitting percentage, the third-highest in the ACC, while totaling 267 kills. The Clarence, N.Y., native posted two double-doubles on the season and also became the 10th Blue Devil to reach 400 career blocks following a nine-block performance in Duke’s win over then-No. 5 Pitt.

A graduate student transfer from Pacific, Shelton is the national leader in triple-doubles (6) this season. She also leads the Blue Devils in assists (560) and service aces (31), adding 212 kills, 207 digs and 77 blocks. Shelton is the only player from a Power 5 school with multiple triple-doubles on the season and the first Blue Devil to record a triple-double since Ali Hausfeld in 2006. In addition, Shelton is the first Duke player to collect two ACC Player of the Week honors in the same season since Emily Sklar in 2013.

Owokoniran has totaled 248 kills as part of a standout freshman campaign for the Blue Devils. The Raleigh, N.C., native has 14 matches in double-digit kills this season, including a career-best 28 against Texas A&M Corpus Christi September 1. Owokoniran earned 2018 Tiger Classic Best Attacker honors earlier this season as well.

The Blue Devils take on Loyola Marymount in the first round of the 2018 NCAA Tournament at 7:30 p.m. (ET) Friday, November 30 in Stanford, Calif.
