Jeremiah Walker joined the Duke staff in May, 2008 and serves as the Coordinator of Campus Relations for the Blue Devil Football program. In this role, he is the liaison with the Dean of Students Office and Office of Student Conduct and coordinates on-campus student housing assignments and manages student-athletes’ Bursar, Duke Card and transportation accounts. Walker also develops and implements first-year student transition programs and orientation, and coordinates the Guest Coaching Program for Duke faculty and administration.
Walker also serves as an Associate Director of Academic Services, working primarily with the football and men’s tennis programs.
A native of Russell, Ky., Walker came to Duke after working as an Academic Coordinator for men’s and women’s basketball and the Director of Tutoring Services at Marshall University for 16 months. He worked as an Academic Counselor at Ohio University in the fall of 2006 and was responsible for the field hockey, men’s and women’s golf and wrestling programs.
While earning his master’s degree in sport administration from Marshall, he worked with the Thundering Herd football program as a graduate assistant in academics during the 2005-06 academic year.
Walker earned his bachelor of arts degree in political science from the University of Kentucky in 2003.
