JOHNSON CITY, TENN. – UNC Greensboro cross country on Saturday competed in the 2019 Southern Conference Cross Country Championships at Pine Oaks Golf Course in Johnson City, Tenn., as the Spartan women finished in third place while the men earned a fifth place finish. 

In the women’s 5K, UNCG was paced by senior Kaitlyn Stone, as she finished in 12thplace with a time of 18:51.01. Next to cross the finish line for the Spartans was junior Kassidy Dill at 19:04.33. 

A trio of Spartans finished together at 23rd, 24thand 25thplace respectively in seniors Holly Mordoff (19:21.92) and Taylor Delaney (19:25.31) and junior India Godluck (19:25.48). 

On the men’s side in the 8K, UNCG was once led by junior Alex Roy (25:42.77), as he earned a 10thplace finish. 

Sophomore Dalton Miles, meanwhile, collected a 24thplace finish with a time of 26:55.87. Fellow sophomore Thomas Knepshield was next to the finish line amongst Spartan runners with a time of 27:12.83 to earn a 29thplace finish. 

Senior Trelek Jones (33rd; 27:23.40) and sophomore Dylan Christopher (36th; 27:32.17) also finished in the top 40.
