BIRMINGHAM, ALA. – UNC Greensboro volleyball (8-12, 2-4) dropped a four-set decision to Southern Conference leader Samford (13-25, 24-26, 25-23, 14-25) on Saturday evening at the Pete Hanna Center.
Three Things To Know
--Junior Maria Esch finished the night with 11 kills and 11 digs.
--Freshman Gabriela McHugh – who continues to pace the SoCon in assists – finished the night with 31 assists. She already has more than 700 assists on the season and is closing in on the top 15 in career assists in program history.
--The Spartans took the third set, finishing off the action with a 6-0 run which included two service aces by senior Lauren Robeck.

The Spartans will next face Furman Wednesday night in Greenville, S.C., for a match scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
