GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNC Greensboro women’s soccer (0-2-1) fell 2-1 at Richmond (1-0-1) Friday afternoon at President’s Field at River Road. The Spiders scored two goals in the first half to secure the victory.

Nicole Souply scored her first goal of the season with 15 seconds left in the game, heading in a ball from a pass by Gracie Timbario inside the box following a scramble after a corner kick.

Emma Kennedy scored the game’s first goal in the 27th minute in the left side of the box after TJ Anderson headed a ball over from a free kick by Brooke Beam. Anderson produced the game-winning goal on a penalty kick in the 38th minute.

Three Things To Know
-- Aiyanah Tyler-Cooper made four saves.

-- UNCG had the edge in corner kicks (6-4), but Richmond held the advantage in shots (17-10).

-- Cienna Rideout and Gracie Timbario led the Spartans with two shots, and both shots by Timbario were placed on goal.
