Bringing a wide array of playing and coaching experience to Hawk Hill, Marc Pibernat joined the Saint Joseph's coaching staff in August of 2017.  He assists head coach Ian Crookenden with both the Hawk men's and women's tennis squads.

Pibernat began his career as one of the top juniors in Spain before training at the Catalan Tennis Federation's International Tennis Federation Center in Barcelona at age 15.  While there, he trained with a number of top 100-ranked ATP players, including 2017 US Open finalist Kevin Anderson.  He then began competing across Europe, earning his first career ATP point when he reached the doubles quarterfinals of a Futures event in Balaguer, Spain.  Playing in Belgium, Pibernat was paired with former pro Libor Primek, who at one point was ranked as high as 21st in the world in singles and 15th in the world in doubles, in the top singles and doubles flights for his club.

He then came to the United States, enrolling at Anderson University in South Carolina.  He made his presence felt right away, helping lead the Trojans to three consecutive Carolinas Conference titles and a top-20 national ranking while playing in the NCAA Tournament each year of his collegiate career.

After moving into the coaching ranks, Pibernat has worked with the some of the top junior players in Europe and the U.S.  He was also part of the coaching team of Steven Diez as he reached the final qualification round of the men's singles draw at the 2016 US Open.

A 2010 graudate of Anderson, Pibernat earned his MBA from Philadelphia University in 2011.  He currently resides in Philadelphia with his wife, Amy.
