Position: Assistant Coach
Experience: 3 Years

Returning for her fourth season as an assistant coach at Saint Joseph's is Ali Whitney.

In her first season as an assistant, Whitney helped the Hawks capture their first ever regular-season Atlantic 10 title and advance to the title game of the A-10 Championship.

In 2017, Whitney guided SJU to an 11-6-3 overall record and advance to the semifinals of the A-10 Championship.

Last season, the Hawks continued their success under Whitney's assistance as they posted their second-most wins (14) and again advanced to the semifinals of the A-10 Championship, while seven Hawks garnered A-10 honors.

A familiar face to the Hawks' program, Whitney played a portion of the 2015 season with SJU before moving to a role as a student assistant. With the Hawks, she helped the team post a then single-season record for wins (13) and claim the program's highest seed (third) in an Atlantic 10 Championship, while earning a degree in marketing this past May.

Prior to Saint Joseph's, Whitney played two seasons at South Carolina. During her tenure with the Gamecocks, she tallied a goal and three assists, while playing primarily on the defensive side of the ball.

A native of Downingtown, Pennsylvania, she led Dowingtown West to the 2009 Pennsylvania AAA State Championship and three Ches-Mont League titles. Named an All-Area First Team and All-Ches-Mont League First Team selection as a junior, Whitney also competed for the Penn Fusion `92 club team and led them to three USYS Region I Finals (2007, 2008, 2010).
