Rowing Wraps Up Action at the Cherry Hill Invitational

CHERRY HILL, N.J. - The Old Dominion women's rowing team closed out action at the Cherry Hill Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The 1V8+ boat took fifth in the Petite Finals, while the 2V8+, 1V4+ and 2V4+ boats took sixth in their respective finals.
In the morning heats, the 1V8+ boat finished in fourth out of five boats with a 7:18.95, finishing ahead of Holy Cross. The 2V8+ boat also took fourth after posting a 7:45.58, who also finished ahead of Holy Cross. In the 1V4+ morning race, ODU took third out of four boats with a 8:54.22 time. Also taking third, the 2V4+ boat posted a 9:05.18 time.
ODU advanced to the Petite Finals in the 1V8+, 2V8+ and the 1V4+ boats after their morning finishes. The 1V8+ boat finished ahead of Fordham in the Petite Finals after posting a 7:19.89 time. In the 2V8+ Petite Final, ODU finished with a 8:25.33 time. The 1V4+ boat closed out the Petite Finals with a 8:52.62 time, which was better then their morning finish. Also finishing in sixth in the 2V4+ final, ODU took time off their morning race after they posted a 8:51.61 time.
