Mike Moon is in his second year as a graduate assistant at Old Dominion and third season overall.

Moon will help coach the interior defensive line and defensive ends.

He helped coach the linebackers in 2017 as a defensive quality control coach, guiding Jordan Young to Conference USA All-Freshman accolades.

Prior to ODU, Moon attended Saddleback College (Calif.) and coached high school football for five seasons at Tesoro and Capistrano Valley. He worked with the quarterbacks and special teams units. In 2015 he transferred to Hawaii where he was a student assistant for two years.

He came to Old Dominion after spending three years at Hawaii as a football video assistant.

A native of Rancho Santa Margarita, California, Moon graduated from Hawaii in 2017 with a degree in psychology.
