NORMAN – Oklahoma wrestling concluded its regular season on Friday night with a 31-4 loss at No. 9 Lehigh at the Leeman-Turner Arena in Bethlehem, Pa.

The Sooners, finishing the season at 8-11 overall, were coming off an eventful weekend, where they defeated Edinboro on Senior Night on Saturday, 19-16, then dropping its Bedlam dual on Sunday in Stillwater.

Senior Mike Longo earned his second win in the past three duals with a big-time performance and upset No. 11 Luke Karam at 141 pounds via a win by major decision, 8-0. Karam had entered the night winning 16 of his previous 20 matches.

Redshirt sophomore Christian Moody, ranked No. 16 in the nation, nearly managed to pull off the upset over No. 2 Darian Cruz (21-0; 13-0 in duals), before eventually falling 7-5. Junior Davion Jeffries was a point away from claiming a ranked win  against No. 19 Cortlandt Schuyler.

Next up for Oklahoma is the Big 12 Championships in Tulsa which run March 3-4, followed by the NCAA Championships for those who qualify from March 15-17 in Cleveland, Ohio.
