MANHATTAN, Kan. – The University of Oklahoma volleyball team was swept 3-0 by Kansas State at Ahearn Field House on Saturday night. The Wildcats claimed the straight-sets victory by scores of 25-22, 25-22 and 25-14.
Junior outside hitter Alyssa Enneking (League City, Texas) led all players with 18 kills on a .268 attack rate. Her stretch of six consecutive matches with a double-double was snapped as she tallied just seven. Enneking pushed her season total to 416 kills, which ranks fifth all-time in a single season during the 25-point, rally-scoring era (2008-present). Junior outside hitter Madison Drescher (Southlake, Texas) joined Enneking in double figures with 10 kills.
Elle Sandbothre and Kylee Zumach paced the K-State (10-18, 3-12 Big 12) attack with eight kills apiece. Peyton Williams added seven kills and played error-free on 15 swings for a .467 hitting percentage.
Oklahoma (7-20, 4-10) junior setter Audrey Alford (Norman, Okla.) led all players with 27 assists to go with eight digs. Redshirt-junior libero Rachel Manriquez (Edmond, Okla.) picked up a match-high 12 digs.
The Sooners are on the road this week at Texas on Wednesday, November 22 before returning to Norman for the season finale against TCU on Saturday, November 25.
