CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. — The Oklahoma wrestling team posted a 1-2 record at the Journeymen/My House Northeast Duals, defeating Sacred Heart, 53-0, but falling to No. 12 Rutgers, 22-9, and No. 8 NC State, 27-13. The single-day event took place at Shenendehowa High School.

"I thought we were below average," OU head coach Lou Rosselli said of his team's performance on Saturday. "At some weight classes, I thought we had some guys wrestle alright. There's a long way to go. I think that we've got to bring more fight to them. We've got to wrestle with more passion. We wrestled two good teams, but I think we can compete better than we did. Some of them just have to get better wrestling. Some just have to make sure that they work harder at some of their problems."
