NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware men’s golf team will participate in six invitationals as the Blue Hens announced their 2018 spring schedule on Thursday.

Led by first-year head coach Patty Post, Delaware kicks off the slate on Mar. 5-6 at the Bash at the Beach held at Surf Golf & Beach Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The following week the Blue Hens will compete in the USF Invitational at Tampa (Fla.) Golf and Country Club on Mar. 12-13.

UD then heads to the state of Virginia for two consecutive tournaments, participating in the Kingsmill Intercollegiate at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg on Mar. 25-27 and the Manor Intercollegiate at Manor Golf Club in Farmville in Mar. 30-31.

The Blue Hens wrap up their regular season on Apr. 9-10 at the Villanova Wildcat Invitational at White Manor Country Club in Malvern, Pa. The Colonial Athletic Association championship will be held on Apr. 20-22 at Lonnie Poole Golf Course in Raleigh, N.C.

Delaware posted four top-10 team finishes out of five tournaments during the fall, including tying for second place at the George Mason Patriot Invitational on Sept. 25-26. Kieran Purcell led the squad with a 72.13 average round and three top-10 finishes, while fellow senior Jack Gianniny averaged 74.00 shots per round.
