LOUISVILLE, Ky.--Five North Dakota State University softball players earned 2012 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America Scholar Athlete honors. Over six hundred academic institutions were represented.

Seniors, designated hitter Cristina Borek, outfielder Taylor Mortensen and pitcher Randi Parks, and freshmen outfielder Presley Glaser and pitcher Krista Menke, were honored after achieving a 3.50 grade point average or higher during the 2011-12 academic year.

Four-time Summit League tournament champion North Dakota State finished the season with a 38-22 record and matched the school record for wins at the Division I level. The 2009 Bison team finished 38-20. NDSU defeated Hawai'i to snap a seven-game NCAA tournament losing streak this season.
