North Dakota State (14-4 Summit, 30-17) is scheduled to play at South Dakota State University (4-14 Summit, 12-25-1) in a Summit League series on April 28-29 in Brookings ... The Bison will play SDSU in a 2 p.m. doubleheader Saturday, April 28, at Jackrabbit Softball Stadium ... The teams will conclude the three-game league series with a single game at noon Sunday, April 29 ... NDSU is 11-9 on the road this season, while the Jackrabbits are 6-3-1 at home ... The Bison dipped from 8th to 11th in this week's Mid-Major Softball Poll ... North Dakota State reached 30 wins for the sixth straight season and for the 15th time since 1996 ... The Bison have played teams from 20 different conferences ... There were 13 first-time opponents on the NDSU schedule ... The Bison played their first 33 games on the road including five tournaments.

North Dakota State leads the series with South Dakota State 51-43 ... The Bison swept the three-game series last season in Fargo ... Johnson Earns Second Summit League Pitching Honor
North Dakota State right-hander Whitney Johnson claimed her fifth career Summit League Pitcher of the Week honor and second of the season on April 23 ... Johnson threw her first career no-hitter in a 4-0 win over UMKC on April 21 ... The no-hitter was NDSU's second of the season and the program's 22nd overall ... Johnson becomes the 13th player to achieve the milestone ... In the win over the Kangaroos, the right-handed hurler recorded her third shutout of the season and the 23rd of her career, striking out 10 batters and walking one ... Johnson has six double-figure strikeouts games this season and 24 in her career ... In her third start of the week, she struck out seven, while allowing five hits, one earned run and two walks in 6.1 innings vs. UMKC (4-22-12) ...  On the week, Johnsons struck 17 batters, while yielding eight hits, eight walks and five earned runs in 19.1 innings of work for a 1.81 ERA.
