NCAA Division I FCS Champion North Dakota State to Open Spring Football Drills Saturday

FARGO, N.D.--North Dakota State University is set to open spring football drills at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 24, on Dacotah Field. Saturday's practice is the first of 15 spring sessions.
North Dakota State won the program’s first NCAA Division I Football
Championship with a 17-6 win over Sam Houston State on Jan. 7 and also
claimed the program’s first Missouri Valley Football Conference title.
Head coach Craig Bohl led the Bison to a 14-1 overall record and 7-1
record in MVFC.
Spring football drills close with the annual Green-Gold game at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 21, in the Fargodome. NDSU's annual spring coaches clinic is scheduled for April 13-14 in the Fargodome.
a school record 18,143 spectators over nine home dates in the Fargodome last season
and placed 10th in the 2011 Division I FCS attendance figures released by the NCAA. The previous average attendance record was 18,141 in 2007.
North Dakota State opens the 2012 season Sept. 1 against Robert Morris University, a rematch of the 2010 NCAA FCS first-round playoff game.
