KANSAS CITY, Mo. –
Charlotte forward Martha Thomas
added another honor to her growing resume, as the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) tabbed her to its All-Central Region Second Team.
Thomas, who earned All-Conference USA First Team accolades, earns All-Central Region plaudits for the second-straight season.
She finished 2015 as the Conference USA leader with a career-high 13 goals, while adding three assists for a career-best 29 points. The Weston, Florida, native set the school’s single-season mark with 92 shots.
Her 24 goals scored in her first two seasons place her into a tie for fifth on the program’s all-time list. She is one of only three players in Charlotte history to post multiple double-digit scoring seasons and the first of the trio to accomplish the feat in her first two years.
Thomas has also been recognized on the All-Conference USA Academic First Team and the All-North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) First Team for her performances this past fall.
She gives the 49ers at least one player on the All-NSCAA region team for the third-straight year.
