CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The last regular-season road trip for Charlotte women’s soccer will be this weekend when the 49ers head to the Lone Star State for a pair of matches. The Niners will face UTEP in El Paso at 9 p.m. ET Friday before making their way back one time zone for a 1 p.m. ET Sunday contest in San Antonio against UTSA.

Charlotte will be looking to snap its current skid as it enters the final two weeks of the regular season. The 49ers are coming off tough decisions over the weekend, falling 2-1 in overtime at Old Dominion Friday before dropping a 3-1 tilt to WKU Sunday afternoon at Transamerica Field.

UTEP enters the match with a 10-5-2 ledger, including a 3-2-2 mark in Conference USA action. The Miners are coming off a 3-2 double-overtime triumph at Southern Miss Sunday.

The two programs earned a 2-2 tie in the only meeting, Oct. 11, 2013, when the 49ers used two Dakota Olson goals in the second half to force the deadlock.
