Brett Arnold joined the Bearkat football staff for the 2017 season as the Director of Football Operations after spending five years in a similar role at Rutgers since 2012.

While with the Scarlet Knights, Arnold worked directly with Rutgers’ Director of Football Operations and the head coach, serving as liaison and contact for hotels and logistical planning for both home and away games. He planned team events and was the team contact for facility upgrades and improvements.

Additionally, he managed the team’s player database and communication between players and staff and organized housing for players, along with serving as the team’s travel coordinator for bowl appearances. He also served as the NFL liaison for the team in addition to a number of other duties.

Arnold joined Rutgers after a year stint working for IMG College, working with Temple University in Philadelphia where he was the program’s leading salesman in his time there. As part of IMG, he dealt with sales and service of the football and basketball programs and solicited donations from existing and new clients, while working all university sporting events in an effort to increase awareness and publicity of Temple Athletics.

That came after a year working with the Philadelphia Eagles as a sales representative, a position that followed a year-long term as a football operations assistant at the University of Delaware. There he assisted in numerous areas such as coordinating recruiting visits and community projects, along with assisting the head coach and recruiting coordinator with necessary administrative needs.

A former punter at UMass, Arnold transitioned from student-athlete into a marketing role for the Minutemen following his playing career, spending a year in that role. During his playing career he was named a first team all-America selection by numerous publications, including the AP and College Sporting News. He led the nation in punting in the 2008 season and was named a CAA Academic all-conference selection in 2009.
