PHILADELPHIA - Penn outfielder Greg Zebrack was named Big 5 Player of the Week and Ivy League Player of the Week on Tuesday after a stretch of five games that saw the junior hit .588 from the plate along with 10 RBI, leading the Quakers to a 4-1 record that put them above .500 for the first time this season.

Zebrack's stellar week started last Wednesday against Villanova in the opening game of the Liberty Bell Classic, going 3-for-3 with a home run, a triple and a double, coming up just a single short of completing the cycle. Adding in two walks, he posted a perfect on-base percentage in the game and posted a career-high seven RBI to almost single-handedly defeat the Wildcats in an 11-4 win.

In Sunday's doubleheader against Yale, Zebrack followed up by going 3-for-7 with one RBI and a run scored and closed out the opening week of Ivy League play with a 4-for-7 performance against Brown with a double and RBI in each contest.

This is Zebrack's second time winning both awards in the same week, doing it last season after a weekend in which he knocked in the game-winning run against Yale and then followed it by going 5-for-5 with four walks in a doubleheader with Brown.

Zebrack and the rest of the Quakers will compete to gain a game at Citizens Bank Park when they play in the Liberty Bell Classic semifinals at LaSalle on Tuesday afternoon at 3 p.m.
