CHARLESTON, S.C. - The College of Charleston men's golf team will begin the season hosting the Invitational at the Ocean Course (Sept. 9-11) on the Ocean Course on Kiawah Island, which will host the PGA Championship Aug. 9-12.

CofC Head Coach Mark McEntire announced the release of the full schedule, which includes four tournaments in the fall and six tournaments in the spring before post-season competition.

"I am very excited about our schedule next year," McEntire said. "By hosting at the Ocean course it has allowed us to receive reciprocal invites to some of the best tournaments in the country. This will allow us to see the best teams in the country numerous times and allows our players to compare themselves with the best players in college golf."

After the Invitational at the Ocean Course the Cougars will compete in the Mason Rudolph Invitational (Sept. 21-23) at the Legends Club in Franklin, Tenn. and the Brickyard Invitational (Oct. 5-7) at the Brickyard Club, before heading back to Kiawah Island to take part in the Kiawah Classic (Oct. 28-30) hosted by Charleston Southern at Turtle Point.

The spring season will begin Feb. 11-12 as the Cougars travel to St. George, Utah, where they have opened the last three springs at the Pat Hicks Thunderbird Invitational at Sunbrook Golf Club. Upon returning from Utah the Cougars will host the Charleston Shootout (March 4-5) at the current South Carolina Golf Course of the Year, the Links at Stono Ferry.

After the Charleston Shootout the Cougars will have a trio of tournaments leading up to the Southern Conference Championship. CofC will travel to Statesboro, Ga. for the Schenkel Invitational (March 15-17) at Forest Heights Golf Club, the always high competitive Hootie at Bulls Bay (March 24-26) and the Gary Koch Invitational (April 8-9).

The Cougars will once again co-host the Southern Conference Championship at Daniel Island Club, beginning April 21 and going through April 23.

The Cougars will seek to make post-season play with regional competition May 16-18, followed by the NCAA Championship May 28-June 2 at the Capital City Club in Atlanta, Ga.
