North Dakota has a chance to take over the top spot in the NCHC standings heading into the Christmas break when the Fighting Hawks close out the first half at St. Cloud State on Friday and Saturday.
UND enters the series in second place with 17 points, just one back of the league-leading Huskies.
All UND men’s hockey games, home and away, can be heard on stations across the UND Sports Home of Economy Radio Network, as well as through the iHeart Radio app. The flaghsip station for the network is 96.1 FM (The Fox).
Longtime broadcaster Tim Hennessy, in his 39th season as the voice of UND men’s hockey, calls the action while Steve Olson provides color analysis.

Saturday’s game will be telecast live on FOX Sports North and can also be seen live on FOX College Sports Central, DirecTV 668 and DISH Network 442.

About St. Cloud State St. Cloud State has won four straight games en route to an 11-2-0 overall record. The lone blemishes so far were a pair of losses at Denver back on Nov. 10-11.The Huskies lead the nation in scoring offense (4.54 goals per game), scoring margin per game (+2.38) and winning percentage (.846), while also topping the NCHC in scoring defense (2.15).
Junior defenseman Jimmy Schuldt leads the team in scoring with 19 points and earned his third NCHC Defenseman of the Week honor of the season on Monday.
Schuldt has paced a balanced offensive attack that features 10 different players with at least four goals so far this season.
Junior netminder Jeff Smith is 7-1-0 this season and ranks second in the NCHC in save percentage (.927) and third in goals against average (2.13).
