INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Western Illinois women's tennis drops its final competition at the Summit League cluster 4-0 to host IUPUI. The Leathernecks are now 1-15 on the season and 0-8 in conference play.
Jessica Theobald at No. 3 and Megan Pazdernick at No. 4 were held scoreless by the Jaguars in singles play falling 6-0, 6-0. Ashley Rettger and Jessica Callahan did not finish their matches in No. 1 and No. 2 singles, while the No. 5 singles match was not played.
In doubles action, No. 1 tandem of Callahan and Rettger and No. 2 duo of Pazdernick and Schwartz were each defeated by a score of 8-0.
IUPUI took default wins at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles to round out scoring.
The Leathernecks are back on the court for a string of home matches beginning on Monday (April 16) at 3 p.m. against Nebraska-Omaha. The team also plays host to Bradley on Wednesday (April 18) beginning at 3 p.m.
