At a time when some would suggest that the phrase "student-athlete" is an oxymoron, Dartmouth continues to demonstrate that excellence in academics and excellence in athletics are not mutually exclusive. In an environment that encourages a well-rounded interest in many activities--from music and art to student government and volunteer service--more than 75 percent of Dartmouth's 4,300 undergraduates participate in intercollegiate (the College has 34 varsity teams) and club sports, intramural athletics, physical education and fitness programs, and, through the Dartmouth Outing Club, a range of outdoor recreational activities.
If you're a top student-athlete interested in playing basketball for Dartmouth, here's a quick checklist of things you need to do:
Complete a CSS Profile: The College Scholarship Service (CSS) is the financial aid division of the College Board. Many colleges, universities, and scholarship programs (including Dartmouth) use the information collected on PROFILE to help them award nonfederal student aid funds.
Contact Dartmouth Admissions: Formal applications to Dartmouth are processed through the college's Office of Admissions. For information on applying to Dartmouth, call (603) 646-2875. You can also download Dartmouth's application by clicking here.
Send a video: Make sure you send your highlight tape to the Big Green coaching staff. Send your video to Dartmouth Men's Basketball, 6083 Alumni Gym, Dartmouth College, Hanover, N.H. 03755
