HANOVER, N.H. - The Dartmouth women's track team has earned All-Academic Status as announced by the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Thursday morning.

For a program to be honored with this team-based distinction, the collective cumulative grade-point-average must be at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale at the most recent NCAA indoor and outdoor championships.

Earlier in the week, two individuals on the Big Green were honored as members of the All-Academic Team as senior Alexi Pappas and Abbey D'Agostino received the recognition. D'Agostino was also named the 2012 USTFCCCA Female Outdoor Track Scholar of the Year for her combination of strong grades and performances this past spring.

Dartmouth earned all-academic status for its cumulative GPAs of 3.35 (winter) and 3.37 (spring), the second-best mark in the Ivy League. In all, 171 teams from across Division I met the criteria necessary to earn the distinction.
