The Lancers look to defend their 2011 title at the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) National Tournament Oct. 8-9, in Panama City, Fla. and then will again compete in the PacWest Championship hosted by Grand Canyon in Phoenix, Ariz.
"We are very excited for this upcoming season and the schedule we have in front of us," said Pace. "We've added some new tournaments, going to Western Washington and so on, and we're looking forward to competing against some of the best teams in NCAA Division II all season long."
The Lancers open the season heading to Bellingham, Wash. for the Western Washington Invitational Sept. 24-25, which is one of three tournaments CBU competes in during the fall. The Lancers close the fall stretch with the NCCAA Championship.
CBU then has five tournaments in the spring, starting with the Cal State San Bernardino Intercollegiate March 4-5 and finishing with the PacWest Championship April 22-23.
"We also get to host our own event in the Riverside area this season which is very exciting," said Pace. "It's the first time we've been able to do that this close to home, so it's great."
The Lancers will host the Glenn Ivy Intercollegiate at The Golf Club at Glenn Ivy, March 25-26 this season in nearby Corona, Calif.
CBU finished last season with two tournament victories and five Top 5 finishes. It was the first season the Lancers scored multiple tournament wins, which included the aforementioned NCCAA National Championship. CBU also finished fourth at the PacWest Conference Championship, with the Lancers' Steven Watson winning the individual title at the tournament.
It is the Lancers second season as a member of the NCAA Division II PacWest Conference. CBU is in the final provisional year of the NCAA Division II membership process in which the program is eligible for conference titles, but cannot yet participate in NCAA national competition.
