Hempstead, NY - Shannon Smith and the Hofstra Women's Lacrosse program have announced that they will run two fundraising lacrosse touranments this Fall.  Below is a message from Coach Smith about the tournaments:

"My name is Shannon Smith and I am the new Head Women's Lacrosse at Hofstra University. One of my main goals with the program is to reconnect Hofstra with the local youth programs, club programs and high school programs. Hofstra has a lot to offer its student-athletes from its elite facilities to its high academic standards.

As a Long Island native myself I feel privileged to have the opportunity to take Hofstra Women's lacrosse to the next level. With that being said I want to work first hand with the players from Long Island to strengthen the connection between Hofstra and the Long Island community.

This upcoming Fall, we will be hosting two lacrosse tournaments that will serve as fundraisers for our program and will create an extra playing opportunity for your teams. These tournaments will help support us compete at the highest level allowing us to buy cutting edge video technology, give us extra recruiting opportunities and provide funding for travel. Your players will also be able to work with the Hofstra Women's Lacrosse Team throughout the day at clinics provided to your players for free by participating in the tournament.

There will be two tournaments one in September and one in October. Here are the following dates:

September 22nd = Youth

September 23rd = High School

October 27th = Youth

October 28th = High School

Go Pride!"
