Queens, NY - Hofstra and Queens split six singles matches, but the Knights took the doubles point to post a 4-3 decision over the Pride Friday afternoon.

Queens, ranked #28 in the nation in Division II, runs its perfect record to 17-0 on the year. Hofstra falls to 6-13.

Hofstra won the first doubles match before dropping the next two to enter singles play in a 1-0 deficit.

Elena Ivanova had a 6-1, 6-1 win over Erika Goldsmith at first singles, while Sonia Tsay posted a 6-4, 6-2 win over Anna Rodovina at second singles. Brooke Sailer had a 7-5, 6-1 win over Daniella Celi at fifth singles.

Francesca Franchin and Taylor Barber had victories at third and sixth singles, respectively, to leave the match knotted at 3 with just one singles match still in play. Queens' Phoebe Chiem defeated Bianca Derrick in the fourth singles flight, 7-5, 7-6 (7-5) to give Queens the win.
