Akeen Felder made his move to GSU two years ago from the University of the Cumberlands in Kentucky.

The 6-1, 205-pounder has made his moves to impress his teammates and was chosen as both the special teams captain and as a member of the Football Leadership Council.

After making his move onto the inaugural roster in 2009-2010, Felder made 23 tackles for that 6-5 GSU 2010 team. He has played in all 22 games in GSU’s short football history.

The Georgia native hails from Perry, Ga., just off I-75 south of Macon in central Georgia, where he played for those Panthers of Perry High School on a 2007 team that was No. 5 in the state class AAA with a 9-4 record.

Felder has made great moves in the GSU classrooms as well, earning Athletic Director’s Honor Roll recognition (3.2 GPA or better) three times in his four semesters.

Make your move to watch more of Felder’s moves at the Georgia Dome this season, starting with the opener on Thursday, August 30.
