RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- California Baptist University kept its winning ways alive Friday night, defeating Notre Dame de Namur in straight sets for the team's third consecutive victory.

The Lancers won 3-0 (25-23, 25-19, 25-18) in a non-conference matchup with the Argonauts.

Ingrid Carmona led the way for CBU on the night with 16 kills and a .364 hitting percentage. Overall the Lancers out-hit the Argonauts .245-.099.

NDNU made the first set of the night the closest, staving off four game-points for the Lancers. CBU finally broke through and got the opening win when Paulina Akiona served long for the Argonauts.

CBU committed just three errors in the opening game.

NDNU held an early lead in the second but a 7-1 Lancer run put CBU up for good. The Lancers led the third set wire-to-wire.

Megan Glennie finished the match leading CBU with 10 digs and Taylor Parker had a team-high 19 assists. CBU had at least five kills from four different players.

NDNU was led by Jennifer Jasper with 11 kills and Michelle Hines with 13 digs. Anna Jayo led all players with 24 assists.

The victory moves the Lancers to 8-2 on the season, while the Argonauts fall to 1-10.

CBU is back in action tomorrow night, completing the second half of a back-to-back with a 7 p.m. match against Academy of Art.
