West Hartford, Conn. (Sep. 15, 2019) ---Hartford fired off 33 shots, including 15 on goal, in a 6-0 victory over Delaware State today. Five different players scored for the Hawks, who snapped a five-match winless streak to improve to 3-4-1 this season. Skylar Vitiello scored her first two goals of the season to lead the way.

The Hornets dropped to 0-8-0.

Hartford scored its first goal in the 11th minute when Anna Cronin put a shot past DSU goal keeper Fabrea McCray off of feeds  from Kaila Lozada and Doireann Fahey.

The Hawks opened up a 2-0 lead on Vitiello’s first goal of the day in the 22nd minute.

Hartford led 3-0 at the break.

McCray was relieved in goal by Franchesska Ramirez in the second period for the Hornets. Hartford added three second period goals to close out the scoring.

McCray and Ramirez had three saves each for DSU.

The Hornets wrap up a three-match road swing with a visit to Canisius (N.Y.) on Wednesday (Sep. 18). Start time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
