Annamarie Ginder assumed the role of Athletics Eligibility and Deputy Title IX Coordinator at ODU in August 2019. She is responsible for all aspects of student-athlete eligibility, including continuing and initial eligibility, and is the primary Athletics contact for the NCAA Eligibility Center and the University Registrar and Admissions offices. In addition to her role in the compliance office, she also acts as the main Athletics liaison for Title IX by coordinating gender equity initiatives to ensure compliance with Title IX as it relates to intercollegiate athletics as well as coordinating training and prevention measures on Title IX issues for the Athletics Department staff and student-athletes.
Annamarie originally joined the staff in February 2018 as the Compliance Coordinator. Her primary areas of responsibility included reviewing and maintaining records related to teams, student-athletes, and prospective student-athletes, overseeing the athletic aid signing process, and managing ARMS, the department-wide software system.
Prior to ODU, Annamarie was the Compliance Coordinator at Bucknell University from 2014 to 2018 where she worked with the Associate AD for Compliance to manage the compliance and rules education program for coaches, student-athletes, departmental staff, boosters and university offices. She also assisted in coordinating and monitoring the certification of student-athletes' eligibility and financial aid, and helped oversee the area of student-athlete services.
A native of Roanoke, Virginia, Annamarie graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.A. in English and a J.D. from the Charleston School of Law in South Carolina.
