EMMITSBURG, Md. – The Blue Hens opened the Mount Invitational, hosted by Mount St. Mary’s, Friday with three wins.
 
In Flight B, sophomore Luis Marcano (Kralendijk, Bonaire/Sagemont (Fla.)) topped Loyola’s Reid Burch, 6-2, 6-0, and will face Zach Burau (Mount St. Mary’s) Saturday in semifinals action.
 
Classmate Dominick Perez (Bethesda, Md./Gonzaga College) cruised to the 6-1, 6-0 decision over Coppin State’s Gavin Lewis in Flight C play. He advanced to Saturday’s semifinal contest against The Mount’s Jean Armstrong.
 
In Flight B doubles play, the pair won by default versus Burch and Tyler Blessing. They will take on MSM’s Burau and Evan Hine in tomorrow’s semifinals.
 
In Flight A doubles, juniors Blaise Casselbury (Lititz, Pa./Lancaster Country Day) and Venkatesh Ramkumar (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Mendon) outdid Coppin State’s Andre Sturniola and Igor De Souza, 6-0. The duo will face The Mount’s Brandon Wortkotter and Jackson Wood in semifinal play.
