LEXINGTON, Ky. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced today that 752 teams have earned the AVCA Team Academic Award for the 2014-15 season and the University of New Mexico Lobo volleyball team earned a spot on the list. The Lobos finished with a 3.32 cumulative GPA for the 2014-15 academic year among the 146 Division I schools.

“This is a great acknowledgment of our commitment to our total program,” said head coach Jeff Nelson. “Our student-athletes work very hard and I am proud of them and this achievement.”
The Lobos open up the 2015 season on the road, traveling to Muncie, Indiana to face Belmont, Albany and tournament host Ball State.
