FIU football is 10-years-old. It seems like the first practice of the 2002 season was just yesterday. FIU played its first-ever game August 29, 2002 against St. Peter's (N.J.) at old FIU Stadium. The Panthers won 27-3 that night and a football program was born.

To look back on the 2002 inaugural season, I'm going to attempt to track down as many FIU players from that 2002 inaugural team for a "Where Are They Now?" series.

Throughout this summer and into this coming football season, I will catch up with players from the 2002 FIU football team, chronicle what they are up to and relive the first FIU football season in posts right here on FIUSports.com.

ATTENTION: 2002 FIU FOOTBALL PLAYERS -- I have a lot of the contact information (phone numbers, e-mails, Twitter, etc.) from most of you guys, but if you have not heard from me in the past week, then please contact me on Twitter: @PetePelegrin or via e-mail: pppelegr@fiu.edu if you would like to participate in this series.
