Dutton Named Honorable Mention All-American

Janine Dutton earned honorable mention All-America honors in air rifle at the NCAA Rifle Awards Banquet on Saturday night in Columbus, Ohio.

Dutton, a junior, led the Huskers in air rifle in 12 of the 13 matches during the 2011-12 campaign, averaging 586.08 in the process. Her season high was 593, which she shot on two occasions. The first was at the Roger Withrow Invitational on Jan. 28 and the second was at the GARC Championships on Feb. 25.

Dutton earned three air rifle individual titles during the season. The Eagle River, Alaska native's titles came at the Murray State match on Jan. 16, the Roger Withrow Invitational on Jan. 28 and the NCAA Qualifiers on Feb. 18. Dutton appeared in every match for the Huskers during the 2011-12 campaign.
