Edison, NJ - The 2012 Women's Lacrosse Championship will be held on Friday, April 27 and Sunday, April 29 at Demske Field in Buffalo, N.Y. on the campus of Canisius College.
The first semifinal matchup is on Friday, April 27 between top-seeded Fairfield and fourth-seeded Siena at 5 p.m. Fairfield won the regular season matchup, 16-11, on both teams season finale on April 21. Fairfield won the regular season title going 6-0 in league play and completed its fifth consecutive undefeated regular season in the MAAC. The Stags have not lost a MAAC regular season game since a loss at LeMoyne (who is no longer a member of MAAC Women's Lacrosse) on April 22, 2007, but have won only one MAAC Championship in that time.
