Ducks Place Four Runners on All-Academic First Team

EUGENE, Ore.  - NCAA national runner-up and West Region champion Jordan Hasay led a list of 14 Oregon men's and women's cross country runners who were named to the Pac-12 all-academic teams.

Hasay was one of four first-team selections for the Ducks, including a league-leading three on the women's side. Hasay, a junior from Arroyo Grande, Calif., has a 4.03 grade point average in business administration.

She was joined on the women's first team by junior Anne Kesselring, who has a 4.10 GPA in business administration, and senior Claire Michel, who holds a 3.97 GPA while double-majoring in romance languages and international studies. Freshman Megan Patrignelli was a second team selection for her 3.96 GPA.

For the men, sophomore Ben DeJarnette was a first team honoree for his 4.02 GPA in journalism. Sophomore Tim Costin was a second team selection. The Springfield, Ore., native owns a 3.59 GPA in accounting.

A number of Ducks were also selected for honorable mention status. Sophomores Mitch Hunt, Brian Shrader and Parker Stinson, senior Travis Stanford and freshmen Cole Watson and Daniel Winn were men's choices, while senior Bronwyn Crossman and sophomore Lanie Thompson were the women's.
