RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) released the bracket for the 2011 NCCAA Women's Soccer National Championship Sunday night, and California Baptist University has drawn the No. 1 seed.

The Lancers (15-2-1) will play No. 8 seed Colorado Christian in the quarterfinals at 5 p.m. (EST) Wednesday Nov. 30. All 12 games will be played at the Austin-Tindall Regional Park in Kissimmee, Fla.

CBU earned the tournament's top seed by virtue of having the highest Longo score among the eight teams. All eight teams are guaranteed three games in a tournament-style format with the national championship game being played Dec. 3 at 3 p.m. (EST).

The Lancers earned a trip to the NCCAA National Championships by winning the West Region with a 1-0 win over The Master's Nov. 12. The eight-team field has seven regional champions and one at-large selection (fifth-seed Oklahoma Wesleyan).

Colorado Christian, which is a member of the NCAA Division II Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, enters the tournament with a 5-15-1 overall record, winning the NCCAA Central Region Tournament with a 2-0 win over Mid-American Christian. Eleven of the Cougars' losses were by just one goal.

Every game of the tournament, except for Saturday's seventh-place game, will be streamed live for free by GPSN (Game Plan Sports Network). Links to each match will be available online at www.thenccaa.org.

Established in 1968 and based in Greenville, S.C., the NCCAA hosts 23 national championships and invitationals for its more than 100 Christian college and university members across the country.

It was incorporated to provide a Christian-based organization that functions uniquely as a national agency for the promotion of outreach and ministry and the maintenance and promotion of intercollegiate athletic competition with a Christian perspective.

CBU had previously been NCCAA members from 1972-87 before rejoining the association prior to this season.
