At SUU, 2013: 

  • Moved to offensive line from defensive line in the spring and started all 13 games, working at both guard and center

At SUU, 2012: 

  • Appeared in all 11 games with starts at Portland State and at home vs. Montana State at defensive tackle
  • Tallied 11 tackles, three solo, with 1.5 TFLs
  • Made the move to offensive line this past spring

At SUU, 2011:

  • Earned a spot on the travel squad, appeared in one game, vs. Texas-San Antonio, but didn't record a tackle

At SUU, 2010:

  • Spent the season as a redshirt


  • Prepped at Delta High School where he was a consensus first-team all-state selection last year when he finished with 70 tackles, including 12 sacks, and served as a team captain
  • A three-year starter for coach Russ Henrie's Rabbits, he was named team's MVP in 2009, also earned second-team all-region and honorable mention all-state honors as a junior
  • Also lettered in basketball at DHS. Parents are Holly and Aaron Nissen. Plans to major in sports medicine
