2011 (JUNIOR): Paced CSUB in appearances for third straight season with 20...was 2-1 witha 4.01 ERA...started three times, going 7.1 innings against Cal State Northridge...struck out 22 and walked nine in 42.2 innings...recorded first career hit in first career at-bat against Loyola Marymount May 8...SUMMER LEAGUE: Helped the Santa Barbara Foresters win the NBC National Championship by earning the save in the national title game...went 3-1 with a 1.45 ERA.

2010 (SOPHOMORE): Became the top reliever for CSUB…finished the season with a team-high 24 appearances…struck out 26 batters in 34.1 innings while only walking 13…was second among relief pitchers in earned run average (7.08) and fifth on the team overall in strikeouts…picked up his first win of the season at home against Nevada (Mar. 14)...SUMMER LEAGUE:  Appeared in 13 games for the Watertown (N.Y.) Wizards.

2009 (FRESHMAN):
From walk-on to starter, Messmore made a team-high 23 appearances on the mound...had a 2-4 record and struck out 32 in 54 1/3 innings...had a breakout performance in CSUB’s 17-12 win over Fresno State (Apr. 7)...pitched 4 1/3 scoreless innings...also struck out seven, allowed one hit and zero walks for his first win of the season...fanned all four batters he faced against UC Santa Barbara (Apr. 21), including striking out the side in the seventh inning...pitched a complete game in an 8-6 win over UC Santa Barbara (Apr. 29)...had six strikeouts while scattering 14 hits to earn his second win of the season...pitched his second complete game in a 4-2 loss to Missouri (May 16)...SUMMER LEAGUE: Played for the Santa Maria Pilots in 2009.

  Hails from Alemany High School in Mission Hills where he was a pitcher and outfielder on Head Coach Randy Thompson’s baseball squad...also competed in soccer for the Warriors, earning the Coaches Award in 2005...went 2-1 with a 3.54 ERA in three starts...SUMMER LEAGUE: Played for the Arroyo Seco Saints in won the district championship and was the regional runner-up...Messmore was also named to the all-regional tournament team.
