The duo's efforts weren't enough to take down the Broncos, as UMKC fell 66-54 on Friday afternoon.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – UMKC women's basketball senior Kelsey Barrett (Kansas City, Mo.) provided the Kangaroos a late spark off the bench in Tuesday's game against Western Illinois, knocking down four three-pointers in the final 14 minutes of play. Barrett's late game heroics provided a huge momentum swing for UMKC, but the Roos were unable to hold off the Leathernecks, falling 78-65 at Swinney Recreation Center.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – UMKC women's basketball came up short in the 2016-17 season opener, falling to Tulsa by a score of 80-70 on Friday night at Swinney Recreation Center. UMKC was powered by a double-double from junior forward Kiana Law (Pittsburgh, Pa.) and a 16-point performance from redshirt sophomore Kristen Moore (Chicago, Ill.), but 10 points separated the Roos from a season-opening win in a very tightly-contested matchup with the Golden Hurricane.
